[Cancelled] Open Relating and Ethical Non Monogamy Community Builder Workshop

A workshop for those interested in open relating/ethical non monogamy and polyamory.

This workshop provides a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals interested in exploring polyamory and open relationships. Whether you're new to the concept or have some experience, this is an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, expand your knowledge, and engage in meaningful conversations.

During the workshop, we'll focus on building essential skills such as compassionate communication, acceptance, and active listening. We encourage everyone to share their thoughts and experiences from the heart while respectfully listening to others. We kindly request that side-chatter be kept to a minimum to maintain a focused environment.

We embrace and celebrate diverse identifications, orientations, and relationship styles. Our goal is to create a discrimination-free zone where everyone feels accepted and valued.

While the workshop is not solely focused on polyamory, we recognize that for some attendees, this may be their best opportunity to ask questions and receive support. We encourage open dialogue and aim to address any inquiries or concerns you may have.

Furthermore, we prioritize creating a safe and sacred space for all participants. We want to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and is not subjected to unwanted advances. We respect boundaries and promote consent and good judgment throughout the workshop.

Feel free to join us even if you prefer to simply listen and observe. Sharing is not mandatory, and we encourage you to participate only at your own comfort level.

• Doors will open at 6:30pm
• At 7:00pm the doors will close and we will officially start with a welcome circle and check-ins. No one will be admitted into the space once the welcome circle has begun.

Special Note: In order to better facilitate the flow of authentic and open-hearted communication we ask that you attend sober and that you do NOT bring any drugs or alcoholic beverages to the meeting.

About Your Facilitators:

~ Sharon Marie Scott identifies as a queer, kinky, relationship maverick. While most of her career has been as a storyteller in comic books and video games, her personal healing journey led her to becoming a Healer and leader for people in alternative life- and relationship styles (which she defines as sex-positive LGBTQIA+, kink and BDSM, and/or polyamory, swinging, and open relating).

She has led classes on kink dynamics and play, and hosted discussion groups on ENM, Interdependent Relating, and de-programming our monogamous conditioning.

She has loved, been hurt, grown, and thrived across the spectrum of alternative relationship styles for the last 15 years.

~ Shiva J is a Somatic Bodyworker, Tantra Teacher, Kundalini Yoga Instructor, Certified Life Coach, Licensed Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Master NLP Practitioner who has been in the world of transformational work since 2003.

With a 20+ year career in the fitness world under his belt he suddenly found himself with a severe back injury that prevented him from continuing on that path. Around the same time he found himself facing divorce, bankruptcy and homelessness. Determined to rise from these pitfalls he began to study holistic wellness, and Tantra to help heal his body, mind and spirit. Having prevailed over a rather bleak and almost hopeless dark night of the soul he experienced a spiritual awakening and discovered his true calling as a healer, and community builder.

With his unique perspective of the mind, body, spirit connection he has helped thousands of clients transform their lives. He combines all of these unique tools along with his gift of insight to help his clients overcome any physical or mental challenge they may be currently experiencing in their lives.

When not at work doing what he loves, Shiva J can be found at a local internet cafe sipping a dirty chai latte, attending ecstatic dancing, a drum circle, or out hiking or biking local trails and if you can't find him at all, he has probably taken a sabbatical and gone hiking or camping someplace more exotic!
